Writing in my dear journal while sipping my mango juice.
Guess what? I had the most paw-some conversation with Layla!๐ฑ We talked about the incredible journey of Jaya on the Indiaman bus. Oh boy, you won't believe all the exciting places Jaya visited. It was like a roller coaster ride, but without the loops! ๐ข
When Jaya was studying in London, she came across this strange bus called the Indiaman. ๐ Curious about the name, she started asking the people getting off the bus what it was all about. The bus has just travelled for 50 days from Calcutta to London or Kolkata as its called today. Jaya was so surprised that someone would want to travel all the way by bus when flights were available! ๐ฉ๏ธThe passenger told her, โJaya, itโs all about the journey and not the destination. I saw so many fun things on my way, so many places I ate in and met some incredible people who inspired me. I wouldnโt get that on a plane!โ.
Jaya finished her graduation, sold all her furniture and packed all her precious things into a suitcase and bought a ticket on the Indiaman. ๐๏ธ She wanted to get back to her beloved Kolkata by bus. She wanted to have that incredible adventure that was once described to her. She was so excited. ๐คฉ
Can you believe it? Jaya crossed through so many countries! Layla even mapped out the entire route for me. She's a genius! ๐บ๏ธ
Layla is super smart when it comes to geography. She listed all the countries Jaya visited. She left England on a bus which was on a boat (England is an island you see!) to reach Belgium. ๐ข Then the bus went to Germany, then Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria and then to Turkey. Pick up a map or a globe and trace Jayaโs journey too. Blew my pants! ๐คฏ
Jaya's bus ride was like a magic carpet that whisked her across countries. Jaya saw so many amazing things. ๐ In Turkey, she stood on a bridge and could see Asia on one side and Europe on the other. ๐Wow, that must have been like being in two places at once!
But let me tell you, the best part was the scenery. Jaya saw beautiful flowers in Germany. Everywhere she looked, balconies were overflowing with colorful petals. ๐
It must have been like walking in a flower wonderland! And then, in Austria, Jaya traveled through snow-capped mountains. ๐๏ธ Can you imagine that? Snow in the middle of summer! It must have been a winter wonderland in the middle of June. I wish I could have built a snow-dog there!
But wait, there's more! Jaya visited so many other places like Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. People there looked so different from us, but also so beautiful. The women had strikingly beautiful eyes and wore smart clothes.
Now, you won't believe how Jaya managed to eat and stay clean during her long journey. Jaya explained that the bus would stop in new places every morning. ๐ Sometimes, they found hotels where they could take showers and have breakfast. ๐ฟ Other times, kind people let them shower in their homes. Oh, how I wish I could take a shower in a stranger's home and have breakfast with them too right now!
And guess what? Jaya had to eat lots of bread and biscuits on the bus. No puris or idlys like we have at home. But she said that in some countries, she had fish and chicken for lunch and dinner. ๐ I bet she was happy to have a break from all that bread! ๐
Finally, after crossing mountains and borders, โฐ๏ธ Jaya made it back home to Kolkata. She became a researcher of Geology and studied India's amazing landscape. I wonder if she found any buried bones or hidden treasures! ๐ฆด
Well, that's all for today. I had so much fun imagining Jaya's incredible journey ๐ฃ๏ธ on the Indiaman bus. ๐ I am excited to continue my adventures in Mysore. Who knows what surprises await us there?
Until next time, wagging my tail and signing off!
Love,
Koko ๐พ
