Writing by the campfire.
Hello,
I'm here to share the hilarious and thrilling tale of my wild journey through the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. 🐅Get ready for some giggles and gasps! 🤭
I am in the Mudumalai National Forest at the marvelous Theppakadu Elephant Camp. 🐘 It is an absolute wonderland filled with majestic elephants and their amazing caretakers. But hold your horses, my furry friends! Before we delve into the exciting details of our adventure, let me rewind a bit and tell you how I ended up in this fascinating place. 🤩
After my unforgettable escapades at the Mysore Zoo, I decided to take a breather in the city. Exploring the Mysore Palace, counting endless bulbs, 💡 and devouring masala dosas became my daily routine. Oh, those dosas were so yummy! But soon enough, I felt an itch for more adventure.
That's when I remembered Mira, the magnificent elephant who served in the Mysore Dasera procession for 13 glorious years. 🐘 I was determined to find her family in Bandipur. Oh, the excitement was building up inside me!
But here's where things got a bit wacky. With not much money left after my dosa feast,💰 I had to get creative. Hitchhiking was the way to go! I hopped on top of a truck, 🚚 rode in the front of a bus without a ticket (thanks to a kind conductor), and even got a lift from a friendly scooter rider. 🛵 Can you believe it? I am a pro hitchhiker! 😇
But oh, the hilarious twist! As I was humming and dancing to my favorite Nattu Nattu song, I got a bit carried away and missed the right path to Bandipur. Whoopsie! 🙊 Instead, I found myself in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. Talk about a detour!
Layla and I were on the video call, 📲 and we decided to play a super fun game called Storyteller Time. Each of us would add a sentence to create an exciting story and take turns to add to it. So, I tell one sentence. Then Layla has to take the story further and add one more sentence to it. The story starts in one direction and ends in a totally different direction. Try this with your friend.
While we were playing the game, Raghu, the Netflix superstar elephant from The Elephant Whisperers appeared out of nowhere! 🐘 I got a really big shock and nearly peed my pants. So did Layla! But meeting him was the cherry on top of an already unforgettable adventure.
Have you seen Raghu in the documentary? I just loved him with his caretakers Bomman and Belli. I took so many photos with them. Well, that’s it for today from me.
Until next time, keep wagging your tails and let wonder be your superpower. Remember, life is one big jungle, and every day is a new adventure waiting to be discovered.
Woofingly yours,
Koko
